Social Media Manager

As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of the content on the Big Day Social Media accounts. 

Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Management:

  • Develop a content calendar that aligns with marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal trends. 
  • Work with the internal Creative Team to oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging, and on-brand content for all social media platforms. 
  • Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and messaging across all social media channels.
  • Brief clients on content requirements for Big Day social platforms.
  • Run the brand's TikTok Shop campaign, through organic content and through Target collabs on TTS. 

Influencer and Affiliate Management:

  • Identify and build relationships with relevant content creators, brand ambassadors, and strategic partners across Instagram, TikTok and Shopify Collabs. 
  • Manage content creator campaigns and collaborations to amplify brand reach and credibility. 
  • Ideate, manage and run in-person events for the brand, wherever necessary; and be excited about working with media and press. 

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance using relevant tools on a weekly basis.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports and insights to the wider Brands Team and client.

Strategic Development:

  • Lead the development and execution of a cohesive social media strategy aligned with the brand's vision, values, and business goals across key platforms including but not limited to Instagram/TikTok and X.
  • Identify key social media trends, insights, and innovations to keep the brand's social pages fresh. 
  • Define target audience personas and tailor content strategies to reach and engage these segments effectively in line with the brand's strategic pillars.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, PR, and customer service, to ensure integrated communication strategies. 
  • Work closely with Paid Social & Affiliate channel owners to align on a joined up strategy

Community Engagement:

  • Foster and maintain a strong online community by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments, and addressing customer inquiries. 
  • Collect and analyse feedback from social media interactions to identify common issues or areas for improvement. 

Ideal Skills + Experience:

  • 2+ years in a Social Media role, ideally for a brand.
  • Ability to create unique content on a daily basis, using social media apps, canva, capcut or equivalent.
  • Experience running TikTok Shop for a brand and seeing success from it.
  • Be able to self-shoot content for the brand's social pages on a daily basis using the product + services. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Solid experience in building and scale a brand on socials with proven results. 
  • Sharp attention to detail, able to interpret, prioritize, and act effectively. 
  • Passionate about social media, with a deep understanding of its complexities. 
  • Copywriting skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful hook using captions, to using effective storytelling techniques. 
  • Strong proficiency / fluent in English
